I have never had respiratory illness in the flock. I have used it to coat legs and rub into combs when they get dry. Some use it for shining up the birds combs, wattles and legs for a show, too. It is so similar to Vicks that I'm sure it would temporarily alleviate stuffiness when the bird contracts a respiratory disease, but certainly will not cure anything.

Just posted about this on a picking thread. I use it to stop pickers
since they don't like the taste.

If you have a respiratory issue in your flock you should isolate sick birds
and attempt to find a diagnosis.
