Aww Derpy is little!
My eight pekins I bought about two weeks ago. Derpy runt is in the front right. Sorry about the messy brooder, but the ducks and weather made sure I couldn't scrub it out yesterday. Usually they don't crowd like that, but the big mean human came and stuck something that would probably eat them into their brooder... They will go into the outside brooder no later than this weekend, once I can drag it into the backyard.
And I completely understand about messy brooders.... Man they make a mess fast! (funny thing about my ducklings that for some reason they actually LIKE my camera, and poke at it... I was so surprised)
Mainly because I have heard that if you don't know what you are doing (like me) that vent sexing can be VERY difficult and that you can hurt the ducklings if you do it wrong.
So cute, both the Turkey poults and the ducklings! What breed of Turkey are they? (we raised turkeys last year, they were the white ones, and so funny!) And are those ducklings Pekins? They look a little different.
My chicks poke at the camera, but the ducks convinced I will eat them.. ok eventually we will eat some of them. Wonder how the poults and goslings will act. Never had thoseAww Derpy is little!
