Video Cameras

We recently put an inexpensive wireless camera out in our run. Our wifi signal out there isn't great, so sometimes the camera will say it's offline when I check it, but for the price I'm happy with it. I like that I can (usually) check on our girls throughout the day or night, even if we aren't home. We are new to chickens - our flock is only 12 weeks old - and I'm a worrier by nature. It gives me some peace of mind AND entertainment! :D

Try moving your router if you can. As an alternative, I added a second router as an access point that faces out a window with a direct line of sight to the coops. When I had out ISP send out a tech they asked why I needed a second access point for Internet. I said, “My chickens”.
“Your chickens?”
“Yes, they need Wi-Fi”
😳😁

We live in a very rural area and don't have access to internet other than cellular hotspots. 🙄 I have one as close to the coop as possible, so until we can get better internet service, that's as good as it will get. I'm shocked it even reaches out there at all! We will have a new provider available in the next few months, so will check into an extra access point then. Thanks!

And glad to find others have put cameras in their coops! :D
