Video of head swaying/jerking/loss of coordination/sick chick Zoey....

Zoey is trying to eat in this video...I had just given her a dose of Tetra and electrolytes with some chick starter mixed in w/ water. Poor thing cant walk but at least she's trying to eat. Her head rolls back and her eyes close a lot...started as a cold/sneezing. She's been like this since yesterday morning.....

I read on another forum that this could be caused be eating something moldy...what does everyone think about that?

The way she is twitching her head, it seems there is something bothering her ears. I'd check for ear mites. They can cause an inner ear issue, which would translate to balance problems.

Yes, she is alive and well although she is now " special needs" meaning she frequently spins around in circles, cannot see very well, cannot go up into the coop or get out ( go up or down the ramp) and cannot eat ( aim at a bug for instance) well, she has to throw her head back to swallow...but, overall, she is doing well and gaining weight and is the sweetest little pullet !
I had to hand feed her for a week and gave her extra protein, vitamins and electrolytes until she could stand and eat on her own. It took a few weeks to see marked improvement though. Good luck with your chick and let me know what happens....
