This rooster will be sold Sunday. Blackberry.

Blackberry didn't get sold today. The person was with her grandma in the hospital and couldn't come.

We are taking all the roosters to Iowa tomorrow. I will miss Blackberry.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. We went on vacation and I was grounded from my phone for a week.
I found out that speckles has bumble foot yesterday. What is causing this? Mom thinks it's the roost but I think they are scratching their feet in the woods.

The flock is looking wonderful as ever!

That little tutu you put on Marshmallow is absolutely adorable.

Not sure about the bumblefoot.....they can cut their feet on just about anything, I think. I agree, the woods would be the most likely culprit. Hope you are able to get that little foot cleared up!

Sorry it's been sooooooooo long since I've been on this thread!   The flock is looking wonderful as ever!   That little tutu you put on Marshmallow is absolutely adorable.

It seems like only the older birds are getting it. Ginger and Speckles are both 5. Pumpkin has a little spot, he's 3. And Marshmallow.... She was young when she got it, but she did get it after I started letting her play in the woods. Her old scars have opened up again and I'm not sure if she has it again or if it's just a scab. She had/has it on both feet in the middle of her pad. Every one else has it on one foot. Ginger has it in the middle and on her thumb toe. Speckles has it on her middle toe. And pumpkin had it on his pinkie toe under the nail.

I am going to post a pic of all my current birds and their age. I took all of these pictures today.

Ginger, 5 years old.

Speckles, 5 years old

Pumpkin, 3 years old. Pearls died on Sweeties birthday, she was 3. Sweetie and Pumpkin and Muffin and Pearls were all hatched March 5.

Muffin, 3 years old

Marshmallow, I got her as a hen or a pullet in February of 2015 so she is either 2 or 3 years old.

Spice. One year old.

Dot, one year old.

Peanut, one year old.

Scarlett, one year old.

Sweetie/Night, 6 months old.

And the Cochins, who I already posted pictures of. They are 5 months old.
