We took the chickens home yesterday because it was too hot. Hawk went to his new home today :hit . Almond will go to his new home tomorrow. Then we will have 20 chickens. We still have five Cochin bantam roosters that need to go.

The chickens are surviving the heat. I dunk them in a bucket of water when it gets too hot.

I'm so sorry......

Hopefully the other 5 will find loving homes!

Ha ha, I basically take a watering can full of cold water (or, preferably, a hose) and sprinkle everybody when it's really hot. I should try the bucket method! Whatever it takes to keep everybody comfortable.

I still cannot think of a name for the barred pullet. I don't really like mulberry and I want it to be a plant name

I found a home for the roosters, one of my friends from Iowa is taking them and finding home for all except one that they will keep. All the roosters have started picking on each other, it would be best if they all went to different homes.

Someone called today about Blackberry (he's a black Cochin cockerel that we are selling) they want a friendly rooster and Blackberry is the friendliest, he's too friendly. He either thinks He is a person or I am his lady chicken.

The person will come Sunday to pick him up.
All the roosters pick on each other now, I have to keep them separated and I don't have enough pens. We will take what's left of the roosters to Iowa August 11 I think
