Sweetie is trying to go broody, all the chickens look awful because they're molting.

Spice went broody yesterday, we were gone all day so I wasn't there to take her off the nest

I found a super tiny egg in the nest box today, I think I might've missed it collecting eggs last night. I want Spice to hatch it. Mom doesn't want any fall chickens

And what an odd coincidence that the egg was layed and spice went broody at the same time. I candled it and it does have a yolk.

So for mom hasn't noticed Spice is in the nest box all the time and that the egg is under her.

Standard egg, tiny egg, bantam egg

Aww I'm so sorry violet!i truly am.if you sell eggs tell her,"mom, in the long run we get more money cause if its a hen we can sell her eggs."I did that to get my mom to get chicks, lol.

That tiny egg is SO adorable!

Could it be that your mom won't let you hatch it because she's afraid the weather might turn too cold and harm it?
