LOL!!! I wish!! Pokomoke is about 45 minutes away. We go there when we need horse feed and usually get chicken feed. NEVER go to the hospital in Northampton Co!!! They call it the "go there to die" hospital.
So...I drive about 20 min to the SS store to get chicken feed if we don't need to go to Pokomoke for anything else.
We just got a Walmart about 2 yrs ago. We have a Roses, Peebles, Cato, Food Lion and that is about it!!! If you really need something it is pay the $17 bridge toll and 65 miles of gas to VA Beach or go to Pokomoke or Salisbury...45 miles or about 80 mi?? to Salisbury, MD. A couple of nice beaches here, no real commercial places unless you count Tysons, Perdue, or the crops (mostly corn, wheat, tomatoes, soybeans) grown here. I couldn't believe how much cropland is here...more that than anything else!!

I'm still hatching but not by choice. I've had two pullets that have both gone broody. One is on her 2nd time since spring. The other is on her third. They are sitting on Blue Splash Maran eggs and some Lav Orp mixed with I don't know who the daddy was eggs.

OH!!! LOL! Actually we lived out in the National Forest (haven't even put our house there on the market yet!) west of B'burg. About 15 min to the feed store. Didn't have chickens when I lived there, just my horses, dogs, and cats.

Anyone need a nice home, not in town, 10 minutes from VA Tech???

cumberland county here. will be putting a few cubalaya eggs in the incubator tomorrow and will do a batch of delawares after that. that will be all we hatch until next february. have a couple pairs of white cubalaya and a pair of black cubalaya for sale. pm me if interested.
