What part of the state is Catawba? I'm about 40 miles directly west of Va Beach.

I moved here from the flat farmlands of WI. My husband had to teach me to accelerate and let it pull me through the curves. If we are ever together, he is always driving

ask him for me what you should do if you run your car out of gas and then when you put gas in it still won't start...

Just got back from a failed attempt to visit friends for dinner. our gas gauge is broken and I failed to notice the mileage was getting up there. me with my bum arm hoofed it over a mile to the gas station. bought a really expensive gas jug, put a gallon of gas in it and a nice lady drove me back to my car. I spent about 1/2 hour in the dark trying to figure out how to put the nozzle onto the jug. finally got the gas into my car and tried to start it...nothing.

I knocked on the door of the people who's driveway I was blocking and apologized for my car blocking their driveway and we pushed it a bit to the side so they could get out in the morning and they drove me home (about 2 miles...glad I didn't have to walk more!!!)

that's a two hour lesson I'm not likely to forget anytime soon.

Aw! That's awful! Hate when stuff like that happens.

Best thing for me to do is stay here on flatland or at least not get far off the highway. Lol.

ok. last call... I still have a pair of mille fleur bantam cochins (hatch October 13), a bantam blrw (black laced) cockerel and 1 ee/cochin pullet, both hatched September 16 available. say the word and i'll bring them with me to the VPBA show tomorrow.

the dorking girls are sold (going to their new home tomorrow) and the sfh I had available are headed to Tennessee in 2 weeks.
