Virginia

I don't think the mother killed that bunny from the looks of it. It looks deformed or pre-mature. And sorry, but I don't see how this thread is a 'chicken' thread. I know that most people on here raise chickens, not rabbits, but last time I checked this was a 'Virginia' thread. For any discussion.

It is. This is the social section and whatever we decide to talk about is what we talk about. There are plenty of other sections to participate in if you want strictly chicken related stuff.

Oh, we have talked about many things under the sun and I know that. But that is discussing, not problems.
Problems are different.
I felt when it comes to problems with something it is best to take it directly to the threads that are their fields of expertise.
I do bees. If I run into a problem with them I would take the problem to others with bees, a bee thread. I would take it to a thread with experience with Bees. I Saw there seemed to be a problem with rabbits and wondered why the problem was not taken to the Rabbit thread for help. Must be a full moon. Not beating a dead horse. Anything more would be rediculus.

Of course this thread can discuss anything they want. Never said not. Why would anyone twist what was said? Go back and reread instead of jumping conclusions.
I reread this to see what set someone off. Still feel sorry for the loss of the baby rabbit. Still feel rabbits need adjustment time to a new home. Still feel a rabbit thread would be able to help out more when there are problems. Still feel these are living beings and not toys. Dont see a problem with anything I said. Wondering why over kill and jumping conclusions. Now I know.

speaking of rabbits, did you know they are not considered farm livestock and if you sell bunnies, you must pay the state sales tax? we have 2 rex rabbits but do not breed them as they are just pets.
back to chickens; have some eggs in the incubator, set my asil breeding pens, and might have an asil hen laying a clutch to hatch.

@ApiaryandAviary . I'm sorry if this has somehow upset you for people having a different opinion than you. Just like you wanted to voice your opinion on what this thread should be about, I wanted to voice mine too. But I still don't see why this thread shouldn't be gone to for problems. Yes it is a social thread, but we can talk about whatever, so problems qualify for that too

I actually thought they may not have known there was a Rabbit thread to go to with other people experienced in their problems and triumps with rabbits. I thought that was helpful. Guess not.
I am not NOR can not limit conversations, that would be foolish. This is as I have acknowledged a Family Site and I know full well it is a Social site. I did not understand why anyone would twist my words into what they were not. Seems foolish and I am a very busy and serious oriented person. Glanced back and Saw the edits on conversations. Oh well. This type of thing discourages others from offering direction where to find help. It has cured me offering direction where help can be found. It will not happen again and of course everyone has their opinion and that is what makes this a great site. Others opinions and suggestions are very important but this seemed different. Is this done now? Has everyone been heard? I hope so.

Sometimes first mothers get it wrong...this poor guy was deformed and possibly born early. I was not there upon her birth as I wasn't expecting anything until mid February!! But now she's inside so I can monitor her. It could have been DOA.. it could have died after birth. It appeared to be a stuck kit. She's a very nice rabbit and let's me pet her all the time. She's a cute little model. She could have overgromed him too. Lots of times first time mothers kill their babies...they trample them..eat them...nest after birth therefore digging where babies are. Look it up.

I have been getting her settled in and she loves to be put of her cage...I'm sorry you don't like me putting little hats and headbands on her. . but she's uses to it and doesn't mind a bit. Yes I know she's not a toy. She's a living thing. I feed water her. Give her herbs and treats. Let her out of her cage to get exercise. Make sure her water and feed is cleans and unfrozen. She has hay to eat- its fine to photograph with props. She's not a doll and I don't pose her.. I let her sit how she's comfortable. I don't leave then on hwe for long. I get a couple pictures and take the hats off. She's a great rabbit and I love her! Hopefully her next litter is more sussecful.

Sorry to hear about your bunny
