Virginia

my delawares were not as hardy as I thought. I have none now , only cubalayas and asils. may add some black australorps this year as I kind of miss them. my wife wants some blue eggs so might add some blue ameraucanas or legbars. I could bring you a mushroom log if you like or I should have some packaged shrooms there.

Hey everybody,

New to the BYC forum. I'm in Augusta County. Have Buff Orpingtons for eggs and meat. I also just received a half clutch of Swedish Black Hen eggs which I am in the process of incubating.

Long term goals:
2) Breed and maintain pure Swedish Black Hens
2) Develop my own breed of black (fibromelanosis), EE (blue egged), and heavy (7 lbs) backyard birds for fun

Happy for any tips or connections with anyone doing something similar.

Hi everyone!
I'm new to the BYC forum and I'm in Amelia County, VA. I'm glad to be a part of this and get great advice on raising my chickens!

I'm likely going to have excess exhibition quality barred rock bantam cockerels in the next few weeks. I ordered a dozen straight run chicks from Dick Horstman and will only hold on to a pair of roosters if anyone has any interest. Blacksburg/Pulaski/Wythe area...

Also - any 'heritage' Leghorn breeders in SWVA or the NRV?

TSC Flock Swap this coming Saturday 07May2016, TSC Ridgeway/Martinsville. 8am-?
I will be selling young adult pairs of English Orpingtons and Tolbunt polish and giving away Eng Orps & ameraucana chicks.
