Virginia

Oh boy! Right now we are just focused on switching from bell watering to nipple watering. I know they will get it but sitting there with a stick and playing with it gets their attention but they haven't done it on their own yet. This weekend I'll take the bell away for a longer time. Darn work always getting in my way.

If one does it the rest will learn quick when they get thirsty . Monkey see ,monkey do ,so to speak. Yep , That work stuff is bothersome but ya need to buy chicken food.

Hello fellow Virginians. I'm gonna be joining here and hopefully become fairly active here on BYC. Currently I have a small flock of 22 Chickens and a Small herd of around 10 Holland Lop Rabbits. I'm about to become NPIP Certified and would like to get into some rare/heritage breeds if anyone is open to suggestions?

We give them plenty of fresh water daily but they prefer to drink the water on the ground when I am running the hose. Thats chickens.
Oh my gosh. Everytime I rinse out and off their waterer and fill it up, these chickens of ours become thirsty in a flash and they act like they are going after worms or something. What is it with these crazy birds?
