More snow coming Saturday. But at least my shipped quail eggs hatched! I have guinea eggs in the bator, so hopefully will have keets to sell. Located near Gretna, VA.

I just joined BYC, and I am from SW Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We just moved here earlier this year from the west part of the U.S.
We also got our first chicks this month and are really excited!
I’m from the same area, was a transplant here almost 20 years ago. I hope you love it as much as I do!

So far I love it. We moved from the Rocky Mountains, living in town, to living on 6 acres, so that is wonderful to have some land. I'm still getting used to the humidity and heat of the summer, though. We moved in August, and it was so hot and humid. The day we moved, it was 55 degrees where moved from, and we got here to 101 degrees. Big change! I absolutely loved the fall foliage, though! The winter was pretty mild as well, which was a big change. Only two snowstorms and they were not much.

Welcome to byc and to Virgina! Hope you enjoy your new flock as much as we all do.
