Much the same. This is my first year with chickens so I worryThanks slejdad. Mine are mostly being lazy, staying in the shade, and drinking lots of water. We've been getting just enough rain to help cool things off a bit, which helps make the coops more tolerable by bedtime. How are things in your neck of the woods?

We forget how well they have managed to survive without us for centuries. But, they are in our care and we want to do the best we can for them. There is a learning curve and I think most of us wind up investing a lot more time and money into raising our flocks than we ever thought we would.

They are all very sweet! I am planning on getting 8 more Magnolia silkie chicks for my birthday! I am so excited!
