Virginia

Hey Bob,wanted to let you know that after I left your house and was almost home a TORNADO went over rt.15 !!!!!!!! You couldn't see a foot ahead of you.The rain was soo hard that we all had to turn on our flashers to be able to see one another.Thank goodness it didn't touch down where we were.It did take the roof off an old plantation house up the road from me,I think it was built in the 1700s.Beautiful place .even without the roof.I hope they are going to fix it back up.
Earthquakes, tornados, what else is Mothernature going to throw at us

I just got an email from the VA department of Agriculture concerning their review of current restrictions on the importation of poultry into the commonwealth. Here goes:

The agency concurs that elimination of the Mycoplasma gallisepticum requirements contained in the current regulations will better facilitate the trade in poultry and hatching eggs between small-scale, independent and/or hobbyist poultry producers in Virginia and other states. Mycoplasma gallisepticum presents a uniform risk across all states, and the requirements already in place for approval numbers and NPIP participation will mitigate the risk posed by this disease.

Please pass this on especially to out of state NPIP folks you want to buy from. Once the regulations are amended, NPIP participants will be able to easily ship stock to us.

Now why couldn't they have done that 8 months ago???? TX charges a butt load to do the MG test and I couldn't afford to bring my girls when we moved here! Oh well.... I have more than enough new pretties to play with.....
