Having just spent a lot of time seeding our pasture, I've been having to send the dog out quite a bit to chase off the Canadian geese who are now congregating in large numbers and eating all the seed and sprouts. On one of our rounds I noticed a small flock of geese in the South pasture that looked different, even from a distance, so I pulled Eve, my dog, back and ran off to grab a camera. I've had a hard time capturing these guys on camera because they are extremely flighty, but yesterday I finally got a few shots:

I believe these are Greater White Fronted Geese:

Pretty. I've never seen them before.

Nice!!! Now you're going to have to get a camera with a telephoto lens so you can take wildlife pictures for us.

Cool! We had a flock of 50 or so stay at our pond for two days last week!

Very nice! The flock we had, they have since moved on, consisted of about 15.

And yes, I wish I had a telephoto lense
