I have a duck (1 of 15) who is having issues walking. She uses her tail as counter balance when she walks. She does not walk like a duck. Had her checked out and her bones seem fine and it was suggested I use Vitamin E.......so how do you do that? I am a first time duck momma so all advice would be greatly appreciated. She is about 10 weeks old.

Welome to BYC.Soft gels are easier to give.Cut off the tip and squeeze the contents in the mouth.Try aiming to the side of the mouth and give her time to get it down. There quite a bit of videos on YouTube on givings birds oral medication.Ive never heard vitamin e pills being used for leg issuses. I would try giving her brewers yeast first or vitamins b pills. Can you post a video?Do you feel inflammation in her legs?Any sign of bumble foot?

I had a chick with a head injury so we had to give her Vitamin E. I've never heard vitamin E for legs but if you need it I usually just cut off the tip mix it with a teaspoon of water and either pour it into her mouth or she would drink it by herself.
Hope this helps. :hmm
