Vitamins in the Water? & Odd Numbers of Hens?

    So, quick questions here...

    Are vitamins necessary for the water and if so, for how long?

    And does anyone have any experiences with having an odd number of hens? We would like to keep three, but will there be more "fights" because of this?

    Some folks add vitamins and/or sugar to the water when their chicks first arrive. I had some on hand in case of a weak chick, but never used them. The only thing I add to the water for my now grown chickens is electrolytes when temps. get 90 degree F or above.
    IMO, three hens is better than two. If you only have two and goodness forbid should lose one, you'd be left with an awful lonely hen.
