VN Ga Noi

This is my Ga Noi hen from Viet Nam from a great breeder Mr Hung Nguyen great line with thick bone structure she has x shanks

Ga Noi means "black chicken". (I know a little Vietnamese). How were you able to import her from Vietnam?

According to "Đại Nam Quốc Âm Tự Vị" a linguistic research book in Vietnamese language, published by a scholar named Huỳnh Tịnh Của (Volume II, in 1896 - page 155), the word "Nòi" means:

Nòi = bloodline, breed. (Vietnamese writing uses diacritical mark)
Gà Nòi = A special type of chicken people breed for fighting purpose

Oh. Well, I was right about Ga meaning chicken (I can read the menu at the Vietnamese restaurant).

in thai , gai is chicken, and gai shon are the fighting chickens... can u show me close ups of their combs? we have several different breeds of the gai shon thai and hubby cannot tell me which is which except that some are vietnamese and some burma and some thai etc..


i will post pics of ours when i have time; at moment i have 20 babies in my living rooms...
