Wacko Geko Quilt Block Swap-SIGN-UP CLOSED

I've cut out 4 of them and have them placed on my squares........the cutting part takes time and my hands have been stiff lately. I'm liking how they look!!

I like how they look also. Since you only have to applique one piece it goes pretty fast except around the toes. I used the applique/blanket stitch on the first one but I might try the zigzag stitich on one to see how it does. The cutting out was a trial for me also since my hands stiffen up on me when I garden and I never was good at paper dolls either.

Well, off to the garden. Have a good day everyone!

I haven't had a chance to get started other than buy a couple of pieces of fabric. I'm still working on the last few feathers of that "other" project and one for a pet rescue event here in May. 2 folks are still finishing their feathers as well. Hope fully we will have all of that out of the way by next week!

My hands are stiff too Luna. Wonder if it's the weather and my old age??!!

Garden?! Didn't ya'll have snow the other day? or was that above you?

I have a 12 year old Wally-World $99 special. It's straight stich or zig zag, nothing fancy in between. IWANT A NEW MACHINE!!! I make up for the lack of fancy by using different colors of thread to sew them with. I may have to break out the neon green that I have!!

I bought neon green, orange, hot pink, aqua-let's just say I went a little crazy in the thread department.

I have been fighting the urge to bead them.

I think I will do a wall hanging with 3 or 4 panels and do some beading on them. I said I would make something to donate to a Race for the Cure fundraiser, thought the gecko wall hanging would be fun.

The snow was about 1000 feet above us. We were in shirt sleeves but the mountains were covered. It was 88 today....go figure.

Yes you can! I was holding out to see if there were some stragglers. You've got good reason to straggle! Are troups moving in and out constantly as part of the relief effort? Did you see the story about the dog that was found floating on the debris?!!
