I have a Hen who has been in a broody pen with two chicks. I let her out today to free range. About 30 to 45 minutes later I noticed her wattle was swollen. I do have another hen that always fights with her when she gets close to the other hens babies. When it came time to put them up for the evening she didn’t go back in the pen. But her babies are 5 1/2 weeks old so she has been spending more time away from them and other mamma. I picked her up looked her over the gave her water. she drank I took her out and put her with her two chicks and then fed them crickets. They all ate the crickets and then she drank more water. Don’t know if it was the other hen or if it might’ve been a Bee because they did go out to my garden where bees are swarming around flowers. Should I panic because I was reading about the Cholera. And it has me all scared because she’s in the adjoining pen with the other mama and the chicks. Just has a wire divider wall between them. Should I worry or should I try and start to treat cause I wanna get a jump on it as soon as I can if it’s something bad. but I don’t wanna overreact if it’s just something normal. If it is Cholera How do I prevent the others from getting it and what do I do? I have read about medication but they don’t know how you administer Or anything. Any help is appreciated so I don’t panic. I did see what looked like a small dried blood dot on one and i took warm water and a Q-tip and cleaned it and it did look like a small cut but that was just one side and the other is swelled too. So any suggestions is appreciated!

It is highly unlikely to be Cholera.
Thank you! I know i panic when it comes to the chickwns. My flock is always been very healthy and I keep everything raked and cleaned, water changed etc. I’m sure I probably just overreacted! she seems to be better today. still has a small amount of swelling but I was just worried about her being inside her Broody pen with chicks while they grew the first month. Chicks Are sort of everywhere in the pen. She’s drinking good, she ate treats and I don’t see any discharge at all. I’m keeping her isolated just to make sure.
