Noticed my rooster has this yellowish, crusty looking abnormality on his waddles, one side actually. I am uncertain what it is or if I should be overly concerned. Treated this evening with saline water and neosporin. Crustiness bled a bit when I was wiping with saline water.

Anyone have a clue what I am looking at here? Frostbite, fungus, disease? Thanks for any input or suggestions.

ETA: sorry the pics are sideways, they were edited in photobucket and look upright there!
NOW THEY LOOK RIGHT!

That is what I was thinking. I will treat it as I have read in other posts. I dare to say that dubbing is not something I think I could stomach, though.

Thank you. I have a beautiful neon green scruchie that came with some item of clothing of my daughters that would look divine!

Best preventative method is to use the poultry waterers that only allow the girls to drink without dunking their waddles into a large dish or whatever....they are worth the money.

The trough only allows the beek to get wet and avoids the frozen waddles, in most cases.
