Ours started laying a few weeks back and now we're getting 5 a day. They add up fast.

Exact same thing my DH says! May give some to my neighbor and friends.

I say if you got that many start baking Molto Mario's cakes.

Well, I found (on the net) and posted (elsewhere on BYC forum) the two recipes that use a dozen eggs at a pop. A dozen yolks in a pound cake and a dozen whites in an angel food cake. Just need to get some cake flour. Wife is picking that up today at the grocery. All we have is all-purpose and bread flour.

What are these Molto Mario's cakes? Haven't run across that one on the forum yet.

Red and black sex links. They wil be 18 weeks on Monday
You know I have been feeding them grower feed, because I have a mixed flock with 3 chicks that are now 13 weeks old. I have oyster shell on another tub for the big girls to eat from. I have not seen them eating any of it. Could that be why they are not laying yet? Today, what I did is offer them some raw milk Keifer and the big girls liked it. Later in the evening I brought out some sour milk curds. They liked that too. So I am going to continue offering them calcium in that form. Hope it helps. What do you think? Could it be a calcium issue?

I've read your threads and have decided, all of our chicks are spoiled! I give my 19 week old chicks treats of all kinds hoping for some signs they'll lay soon. Patience is a virtue I suppose!
