if you check out www.frankstrade.com they have a whole site thats filled with diffrent stores i guess that sell exotic and non exotics i love it! and some places even ship so you dont have to go there!!! I may take a trip to afton Ny to get a pair of mandrains. then after ill add wood ducks. Ever since i hatched my baby runners, ive gone on buy more ducks spree. ive collected 2 jumbo pekins, then 2 calls, now 2 rouens. i like that im making a variety of ducks, and even more that im not having a hard time intermixing them into being friends so no ones trying to kill each other -knock on wood-

Before you go buying any non domestic and migratory ducks get your flight pen built and ready and your permits applied for. Mandarins need a flight pen or they will leave. wood ducks require permits and also need a flight pen or will leave. It is illegal to allow domestically hatched/raised to get loose in the wild.

Thanks for the info, everyone thats selling never even told me about the permit thing. Kinda irritating that they didnt. Well they will be a future investment. :)

Not the sellers place to make sure you know your laws. Just to follow their laws where they live. Be sure to read up on keeping non domestic fowl and migratory waterfowl so you know your states requirements. There are also federal laws covered.

All i have are runners, pekins, calls, and now rouens. Nothing special. The mallards live at the house and the pond so their semi wildish. but they never leave the property. :)
