waking up my babies

is it ok to wake up my girls before it gets light out? i have to be at work at 7 and i leave around 6:30 so i go out there around 6 is that ok? i just want to see them before i go and give them there morning snack, then my husband goes back out when it gets light and lets them out of the run to free range

Yeah, that's no problem. Our chickens are usually up before it's light anyway Whenever we leave their gate open, they wake up at unearthly hours of the morning looking for food!

I'm sure they won't mind you going to see them anyway, even if they're not fully awake.

No problem at all. I have to get my girls going early, too. Even though they are still roosting when I go out, they are awake and mumbling away.
They free range and get their feed, cheerios and BOSS. Don't worry, they are just fine!
