I used to run as a kid, 4000 metres was nothing, and as I got to the teen years, I 'ran away from home ' almost every week, but I actually walked all over town and slept in a racecourse tower, just cos I could. Then when I started horseriding, I walked, ran an took up cycle racing.

Donkeys years later, I run if I have to, I walk around the supermarket, markets, around home an that's about it.
Slipped my sciatica in 2016 an couldn't walk for 3 months, so my backs stuffed, having a collapsed spine, walking just creates pain. So now, I walk around my chickens, cats, dogs non stop all day and live on codeine at night. Usually I walk around to quieten them, put the rooster away when he crows ( he knows the rules.. crow in the yard, go back in the hut) See why the dogs are barking or call the outside cat when he picks on the neighbours cat.. the rest of the time, I get to use the car..
I did count my steps once, around my house and animals, 43000 steps per day..
Owning chickens means not having to 'exercise'

43000 day!?!??!?!

That is around 20 miles which somehow makes it sound even more impressive
Around 32klm. Which is only 20 minutes to drive so it's not far. Takes approx 4.2 hours to walk 32klm
