(I would vote in your poll, but... You can probably tell by my thread how much I agonize over the names of my own birds, let alone someone else's. )

My own personal scheme is to start with the breed name. Go for some alliteration. Then choose from old-fashioned names. Hence:

Prudence the Partridge Plymouth Rock
Lavinia the Cream Legbar
Sadie the Sicilian Buttercup
Wendolyn the Golden Laced Wyandotte
Ophelia the Blue Splash Orpington
Violet the Lavender Orpington (that was just too obvious to overlook)
and M. Maurice (formerly Maude) the Black Copper Marans

Helps me keep them straight when CRS strikes.

I love the idea! I have come across some cool names and then later I can't rember it - Well cross that off the list.

I love the name willow! I would do either Willow or Winter for the dark one and either Ginger or Summer for the light.
