I'm glad my Cochins will be for pets only. I plan to give away or sell any that are roos.

O.K. So if I want to get some Silkies where do I get them from. I thinkI would like to invest in some really nice ones instead of ordering from a common hatchery. That way when they are not setting I could breed them. I was looking on eggbid and they go for quite a bit. I have heard of Hattrick Silkies. What are they? Is he kind of the Holdereads of Silkies?
Thanks.

I have banty cochins and the eggs have been fertile, and they lay very good! They have been broody also.I have some banty light brahma crosses that are broody and good layers too.I have a silkie cochin bantam sitting now and a bantam clean legged Light brahma cross sitting this is her 2nd clutch I let her set on.All 3 eggs are fertile.I just let them sit on a couple I don't want anybody overwhelmed like the mother who lived in the shoe and had soo many children she didn't know what to do!!!
