WANTED: BROODY HEN (Northern California)

Help! Our own broody has suddenly decided she is no longer interested in being a mama hen. We’ve got six baby chicks, just a few days old, who are desperate for a mother.

Would anyone know where I could buy (or borrow!) a broody hen ASAP, or would one of you have one available? We’re in Pacifica, and can travel all over the bay area.

If you can't find one in time you'll just have to stick them in a brooder with heat lamp. Not all Broodies will except chicks that a few days old anyway. I hope all the best for your 6 chicks
