jag-I would love some BLRW chicks if you have some to sell after you and nursenettie get your fill. also your EE/BLRW sound like they would be a beautiful mix. I am in dover-foxcroft but come down to bangor about once a month.

That helps me with an excuse (to DH) to get more eggs.

Good Evening, all! I live in Bucksport (about 20 min drive south of Bangor) and am interested in finding some chicks to raise for laying. I haven't checked with the local feed store yet, but I will tomorrow. Any other good places to check? I found a listing on UncH's, but the person had already sold them.
I am new to Chickens as well. My wife grew up around them on her grandfather's farm. It would be nice to find some RIRs, but I guess we'd take whatever we can get reasonably. One thing I am concerned about with ordering from hatcheries online is the difference in climate. There is one lady on this forum that has some hatching eggs for sale, but I'm not sure about it. Once again, that whole climate difference comes to mind. Thanks for any help.

Uncle Henry's online (sometimes people dont post in the book), Craigslist, newspaper and on here. Your local feed store.

Hello all,
I will throw this out there again, especially since I did hatch out 16 beautiful black fluff balls to which I need to sell as I have some more in the incubator. The dad is a beautiful barred rock and the hens are all pure but many different breeds so the chicks will be mostly mixed.

Dad-Barred Rock
Hens-BLRW(2), brown leghorns(4), white leghorns(3), black australorps(2), dominique(1), Barred rocks(2), easter eggers(7).

I am traveling down to south portand tomorrow AM and can drop off any babies on my way if you are willing to meet me at the highway. It would be between 8am-11am we will be traveling down south. $2 each.

Let me know ASAP if anyone wants any.

THANKS

Heather

What do you have left?? What you have listed??

Oh, how I wish you were coming north!!! DH has been traveling out of state for work, and I'm left with the car that doesn't travel far!!!

I do have the 16 left. Not sure if I confused anyone but these are all mixed chicks.. the parents are pure but I have them all in together and the result is the wonderful mutt chick which is so fun to watch grow up and see what it looks like.

NurseNettie- I will have more in a few weeks. I think I mentioned before I could meet you in Lincoln sometime. I know that is still a bit away from you but alot closer then way down south.

Let me know if anyone is interested in any or ALL of the 16 I have available now.

THANKS FOR THE INTEREST

Heather
