I put 24 blrw eggs in on Thurs. evening. Had 2 weepy, smelly ones that I took out already. Now everything seems fine!

This is my third time incubating! Crossin' my fingers for us all!

I'll join in too because I just put eggs in my homemade bator this morning! This is my first time hatching! I'm so excited!

I'm new to chickens (have some 8 week old chicks!) so I'm sure I'll have lots of questions too!

Good hatching vibes everyone!

I'm off to check the levels in my bator again!

Can I join in? I saw a really nice coop while driving down the road a few days ago and stopped to ask the lady if I could look how it was made. Really well, that's how it was made. Anyway she pulls three silkie eggs out and asks if I have a bator. Keep in mind that DH was standing there against his will but very politely and silkies are his favorite. So I came home and grabbed some eggs from the mutt pen and loaded up the bator Friday morning. I don't know what the quality of these birds be, but if the guy who carries the hundred pound bags of feed for me wants a silly white bird then a silly white bird he will get.

Well, took me a full 24 hrs to get the incubator set to temp and humidity so I'll be a day and a half behind you all. But the good news is a have a few more eggs to put in.

I put 6 BCM, 8 SS, and 3 EE eggs in the bator on the 21st.

This is my first try with shipped eggs.

Some I will be able to candle, but the BCM are too dark to see through.

I guess it will be a surprise!
