I bought an egg case and asked my old roommate to keep an eye on it while I was away for a couple of days. I wanted to release the hatchlings into the garden. Luckily I had the case in a sealed bowl because when I came home the bowl was filled with tiny little preying mantis!

I totally understand! I'd been dead-heading out front and set them on the counter so I could move them out back to my vegetable garden. I had two cases sitting in an open bowl on my kitchen counter for all of two - maybe three - hours, but that was apparently enough. When I came back in to shift gears, there were teeny tiny mantis babies all over my kitchen ... and my dining room ... and my hallway ... and my living room. We rescued a lot of them. The cats ate almost as many ... and for weeks afterward, we'd find one staring at us from inside the fruit bowl, or a house plant. Sometimes, a cat would suddenly hyper-focus on a spot in a corner or on a wall ... and sure enough, closer inspection would reveal a growing mantis. Man, those little bugger grow --- and run --- FAST!

That would be a good way to get on my bad side. You don't want to see my bad side.

Sounds to me like someone who has the thinking of " I have to have it, I always get my way." I would think it would be obvious that poultry are considered possible disease spreaders. Ah well, if he or she is stubborn enough and got enough money.. apparently nothing is gonna stop them. The poor bird though. .

Right!? So many people have told them it’s not a good idea but they seem to have made up their mind already despite asking for help!? Also so many people have provided links explaining what they need yet they don’t read them and keep asking what’s needed!?

I loved Psychology...although I'm a fan of Erikson's developmental theory. That is what nursing school loves apparently...and it is not that hard to figure out!

Oh yeah! That was one of the other ones! I liked him and that one!! I liked Piaget too I think it was. But I liked this guy

We are waiting to see what appears out of no where to find shelter if the water comes up with this hurricane.
They still don't know what this thing is doing, (except intensifying ). It is starting to creep along and jump around. Those to the west of us don't seem too have much to worry about. We just wait for the next report from the hurricane hunters to see what crazy thing it did since the last report.
I don't like how close it is coming to the mouth of the river. That is actually our worst case situation. If a hurricane comes up the Mississippi river. It would make Katrina look like a kiddie wading pool. Pressure dropped 6mb in less than an hour and moving really slowly. (bad news)
My gut says this ain't gonna be good. Will be bring canoe in the house.
Worse yet Mom has decided to stay home. She has 2 men living with her, and is a little over a mile from us. Sorry for the length of this post and topic. I might be off computer for a few days, but am prepared and will be okay.
