:celebrateMy children have fallen in love with the Wheaten coloring. We are looking for a dozen eggs of both bantams and/or standard size. I have some kids in 4H in the primary division and one moving up(they picked the graphics). We are a budget, but willing to pay extra for great stock as an investment for future years.

Hi,

OP, I can't help you this year - at least not right now but keep me in mind for the future. If you send me a personal email, I'll send you info on my birds. I am listed as a breeder on the Club site. You can also see pics of my birds on my website.

Shay, that is not a Wheaten Ameraucana. That is an Easter Egger. It's a nice looking bird but it is not an Ameraucana.

God Bless,

I know he is not wheaton, But when i got him i posted him up on here, and a few peaple told me hi is an Ameraucana but did not know what color.

I'm looking for wheaten/ blue wheaten my self.
You can look at the Ameraucana Breed web site for a list of breeders.
I'm hoping to trade eggs for eggs, but if not I'm hoping to be able to buy some this fall.

Hope you find some! I just love the wheaten color. Maybe in a few years I will have some.

Those are Easter Eggers, not Ameraucanas. Sorry

We are newbies to the whole hatching thing. It sounds like we might need to wait for the fall. I think that should be OK. I have backups chicks for that the kids that we could use this year if we can't get the wheatons in time for them to be shown. We would just like to ge this line started for the future.

OP and Okie, check back with me in October and I'll see if I can help ya.

I over-did it this year with taking hatching egg orders and didn’t actually get to start collecting any for myself until mid-May. Plus I have chick orders for local folks to fill. So I’m still collecting for myself. I had 26 eggs in my Sportsman that were supposed to hatch out next Saturday. I candled them last night and had to toss 3. Depending on how that hatch goes, I will only have one more round of breeding pens to hatch out. My hens are currently “being cleaned out” and off roosters for another week. Then I will cycle the roosters on the various hens and hopefully finish my last four pens.

God Bless,
