I am researching raising pigeons. Does anyone have any plans or pictures of a loft for them? I do not plan to race, only raise & sell them.

All the websites I have found are geared towards racing pigeons, & not much info on the breeding side.

    Any info would be helpful.
    Thanks

The main reason you see more about racing rather than breeding, is because racing is the biggest part. Even if the parents have good pedigrees and race results, that doesn't always mean the babies will live up to their parents' greatness. So testing out the pairs through racing are vital. But even if you don't race, you could probably still easily sell babies from good breeders [IMG] Even if those people don't plan on racing, since a lot of people just want homers for fun.

a fellow down the road from me gave me a shed full of pigeons we just moved the shed left them pend up for 2 weeks . we open the pen door each day they fly around and come back by night then we close it up for the night. i think and old shed would work fine.
