Wanting to raise my chickens to sell fertile eggs

You're likely better off hatching them on your property and selling the chicks locally. Hatching rates drop significantly when shipped, and you're going to be hatching a lot anyway, because you HAVE to test hatch rate. If you sell dud eggs all the time (because you didn't test hatch), people will start complaining to their friends and business will be short lived.

A hatched egg a.k.a. chick can sell for as little as $2-$3 for common breeds, or even upward to $25 if you're carrying something like Ayam Cemani from a good line. Offspring from prize winning birds will fetch more.

You will find yourself either buying stock from award winning breeders, and/or going to shows yourself.. if you want to sell chicks that fetch more. Once you reach that point, people will be willing to pay for hatching eggs. Garden variety chickens, even if heritage breeds? Not so much.

Selling chicks locally is a much prefered route for a beginner breeder. But that'll be a few years. You'll want to learn the ins and outs of proper chicken husbandry before that

Y'all got the right ideas going on with the stalls and such, just don't rush in, or your plans will fail. Read lots on here, and get some experience. It'll be worth it.
