I'm glad you survived. There's a fancy stand mixer at our upscale kitchen store...something Scandinavian I think. It's worth more than my car.

i have a regular electric mixer. not even a stand. just my arm.

but after what happened to Ranch, i'm not sure if i should revere the KA or be terrified of it!

Cause you use your arm with the mixer, it gives you the strength to whack those possums with the shovel

I have to periodically hammer that pin back into place on mine. I've never had it fall completely out tho!!

Do you always beat up your appliances with a hammer? Maybe that is why they fight back.

Miss_jayne, do get a stand mixer. They are marvelous. Mine is only an Oster, but it is nearly 30 years old, and can still mix all day. My arms would fall off if I had to use a hand mixer for those days. (When mine dies, I will get a KitchenAid.)

Then turn mixer and repeat on opposite side. This will peen the ends of the pin preventing it from coming out.
