Nightpaw appeared to be staring at Mintpaw. (Nightpaw is blind.) Really, she was delving deep into her emotions, worry-smell washing over her.

Sootfur turned her head sharply, and looked at the little kit. "Whats the matter?" she asked, unaware that Nightpaw could not see.

Sootfur watched the tiny kit, and purred. She couldn't wait to be part of the clan.

" C'mon! We are gonna be late if you don't hurry up!" Firestar prodded the two she-cats as they primped their fur. "Do I look Ok?" Shadofire meowed to her mate. A flower tucked behind her gray ear gave her a alarmingly sweet frangrance. She walked by Mintpaw and Sootfur . They smelled her and dropped their jaws before continuing to clean themselves. "You never looked better." Meowed Firestar licking her cheek. Sootfur and Mintpaw finally finished and both , following Shadowfire, Tucked different types of flowers behind their ear.
When the small band of Cats reached the center of the camp called the "Square" ; Sootfur nervously drummed her tail on the hard rock.. Mint sat ,eyes gleaming with excitement as she stared out into the crowd of clan-cats that began to gather. When all had arrived Cinderpelt began the cereomny. "Sootfur and Mintpaw have been excepted into this clan by the chief Firestar and by the Queen , Shadofire. " The old cat began. " We are gathered here today to publically except these two she-cats into clan of thunderclan. " She droned on. " Sootfur is happily re-connected with her sister Shadowfire. They were separated as young kits...both thinking the other was dead. Mintpaw was former barn cat who took care of Sootfur while she was young. Do you except these two she-cats into the clan and treat them as thought they were always here? " The clan-cats rose up with a roaring meow of a reply. "YEES!" Sootfur's eyes shone brightly and Mintpaw's face glowed with pleasure. Cinderpelt turned towards the excited she-cats. "Do you hereby except the clan -cats as your family?" The question struck them dumb. "Y-Yes." The meowed in unison. "Bow you're heads. " Meowed Cinderpelt. They obeyed and Firestar and Shadowfire came foreward with wreathes made out of Daisy's. "Welcome to the clan!" The meowed one after the other. Placing the crowns around their ncks the crowd let out another roar.




Whew. That was long.
