New variety. Maybe speckled EEs?
They are said to lay beautiful, dark, chocolate-brown eggs known for their sweet flavor, thick whites, and creamy yolks.Well, they don't have the right appearance for any pure breed I can think of, so I agree they are probably some kind of Easter Egger. I wonder what color eggs they would lay if they had lived to grow up?
Yup - just out of the package not my thing.I never would have thought to roast them over the fire! that sounds wonderful... especially because I otherwise despise this breed and refuse to have them.
Sounds amazing OMGGGGGYup - just out of the package not my thing.
But, leave them sit for awhile, then roast them, add dark chocolate and graham crackers, and they become something special!
