Another visitor last night. A coyote.

wow, impressive but also nerve wracking lol! I have those here too on massive levels, except the coyote and wolves prefer my sheep.
I have a neighbor that have various livestock including goats. The coyote's have killed most of the goat kids. He no longer has a billy so now the females won't be having any more kids. Here nothing preys on coyotes but coyotes will prey on everything else, so we have a lot of coyotes.

Poor guy.Feel for him. They are huge trouble.
 
Late morning attack.(like after 4AM) Heavy duty dog run, that was netted. Ripped my net in multiple places but no damage to my pen or any sign of entry.
4am would be early morning here...but that's all semantics.
Many preds can tear thru netting.....knowing what kind of netting would be interesting...but not necessary as obviously you'll need t replace it with something stronger. Sorry for your loss.

Why not a big dog? I do not get many visits, but do lots of photographing when it happens. Dogs keep most, including coyotes moving on. Most of what I my cameras record are blades of grass, song birds or rabbits.
