Washcloth/rag, loofah or soapy hands???

You guys are a riot, I was looking for something to cheer me up.

Soapy hands. All over.

Bar soap, currently olay ultra moisture with aloe. And pumice on icky foot calluses.

Msue, thought you were going to say you wrote your muck boots in the shower

M.sue :

You guys are too funny!! I use the nylon scrubbies and have always used a buff puff on my face since I was teenager. I have my 12 yr. DS using one too!

Now the question is.....Do you use soap to cleanse your face? I always have & still do. Many people say it's a no-no. I use gentle soaps such as... Dove, natural homemade soap, glycerin soap, goats soap, etc. People say it's too harsh on the skin but I always moisturize afterwards...face & neck.

I use a nettie thing for my body, but for my face I use a home made scrub made from aspirin and dial soap. Sounds harsh, but the active ingredient in most acne face washes is Salicilic acid, or the antibacterial Triclosan. Then they charge $5.00 for 4 ounces...

For an old lady of 46, (yes we do still get acne dad gummit!) I think I look pretty good.

I once knew a woman who grew her own loofahs. I recently acquired some seeds & will be growing my own next year. Loofah sponges are often mistakenly thought of as sea sponges... there ARE sea sponges available for bath use out there, but loofah sponges actually come from a type of Asian squash plant. The young squash are used as a food, just like any other squash. If you let it grow past maturity, then pick it and dry it, you peel away the skin & the sponge is inside.

A bath poofy (netted thingie) is the next best thing. Right now, I use a washcloth but usually have a natural sponge of some sort that I use. My last sponge got yucky & I had to toss it a few days ago.

Looking forward to growing my own loofahs.

I used to live in Hudson/Spring Hill border off County Line Rd. Our house had a bidet, I never used it. I don't know why, just freaked me out.

I had to shut the valve off, my kids thought it was a water fountain

I don't have abidet, instead I use baby wipes inplace of toilet paper. Makes you feel much cleaner and fresher.!!

The problem with baby wipes, they can either make you have a rash OR stop up the toliet.

I personally think baby wipes would be excellent for #2 that you have to use alot of paper to get yourself clean!

I remember seeing a bidet when I was living down south. I had to laugh because it was strange seeing two toliets in one bathroom.

This is hysterical!
I have just switched from washcloth to plastic puffy thing. I love it! My face has gotten horribly dry from menopause. I was using a wash rag, and deo soap. It itched at night so I would scratch. I looked like I had a disease, LOL. I now use soapy hands on my face with mild soap and I can see the difference. Something so simple.

Baby wipes are great. But I take care of sick babies for a living and every night or two, they really do need soap and water. But I even notice at work there's always baby wipes in the bathroom. Good idea.

I curse International House Hunters for my bidet purchase. But doesn't it sound like the Mazerti of toilets?

I kept thinking bidets are the Mercedes of toliets LOL! Some even come with radios and CD players!
