Washington County MD, RV zoning?

Hi! We're moving and I'm really hoping I can figure out how to get a few hens for pets/laying and later on 4H.

We're moving to Boonesboro Maryland, the house has just shy of and acre and is Zoned as "rural village"? But I have no idea what that is and Google is failing me! Anyone know?

And if it doesn't allow for poultry is there any way to change our zoning? Or is our chicken dream just over?

You need to contact Boonesboro officials directly. Everyone here would just be guessing and you need to know the facts.

Yeah I just was hoping someone in this county had backyard chickens could let me know if they'd learned anything by trying. We'll talk to the officials of course but coming in with some knowledge would help but all my internet searching is only bringing up THIS forum. LOL

I'll call the city people again after the house settles I guess.
