Weavergarden, I think you have a great idea getting people together that are local to each other. It is just that this party, the one we have been planning, was very inclusive and everyone was invited. I would be sad to loose that concept for this party. I think from this party we may make contacts with those closer to us and plan whatever we like. We could also plan other inclusive parties like the one being discussed for this summer.

Sounds fine to me. Somebody get the paperwork done and lets get our money in to pay for it!

Let's get a list of food that people will bring going. Get your recipes to me ASAP if you want to be included in the souvenier recipe book that will be handed out at the party. I am also willing to make a card with the name of the dish and a list of ingredients to put by it on the table. I think it might be nice to include some personal stuff too. Maybe pictures, or favorite Fowl/Poultry related quote or joke or ???

Please put the words Party Recipe in your PM to me so that I can organize them and not lose sight of one. I think that the last day in February will be a good date to set as the deadline..... Then I can spread this out over a long enough time that I can get it done.... I work in small spurts, so I need the extra time. Thanks.

I just got home from work and had to read FIVE pages to catch up!! I thought the two parties (N & S) and then a BIG party at a lake somewhere this summer would be GREAT !!! We could have all kinds of games North against South

: Volleyball, flag football, egg toss and MUD WRESTLING !

What was in the beginning Kim's idea to have a simple local get together at her house has now turned into something completely different.

Many benefits of having two or more local parties no matter if one has only ten people that way you find out who lives where that may be interested in selling you some chickens or buying from you.

Then in the summer a combined party at a big park.

I have found over the years many will say yes I'm coming but for what ever reason on the day of the event not as many show up.
With the economy the way it is right now that factor is increased.

Local parties as well as a summer park party eliminates anyone holding the bag not being reimbursed as all of these events would be low cost.

Can I third the Kirkland location? I am really just in favor of any plan that will allow us to move on from this conversation.

I want to meet all of you since you are such fascinating people. But if you cannot make it to Kirkland for whatever reason in February I will just get to look forward to seeing you in the summer.

) and that will preclude there being much of a crowd on my part.

I am sure they will all be looking at you in your speedo anyway
