Greetings,
I'm about an hour's drive outside of Seattle, living on 8 acres. As I move towards retirement age, I've been trying to become more self-sufficient. I'm pretty good at gardening, but lacking a protein source, decided to thumb my nose at the plethora of predators and try my hand at Chickens. I had chickens as a kid, but a) that was in Florida, b) they were bantums, and c) they were completely free range. So, yeah, I've got a learning curve, hence joining the group.
This was my first ever build anything project, and got lots of advice from my neighbors, and sometimes a helping hand, too, particularly with the roof.
I call it Fort Fox.
