Back in, temp has dropped but that post warmed me up! I'm still chucklin'. hehehhehehaha

That's what I thought you had said before. I so wish I could find someone near by that has all these colorful egg-layers that are the same age. Part of it is my intolerable impatience level. I am guessing that it has to do with my own baby turning a year and a half, and now I feel like I need more babies around me.

I have talked to a few breeders on the thread, but they focus on one or two specific breeds and some live so far away (duh, Audrey, that's the country), I get little time for adventures. I supported a local artist friend and got two tickets to an art show in Seattle I know I can't attend.

I would be so happy if someone on here were to say they have an egg laying assortment of chicks and they are around the corner! I would be there in a heartbeat!

ETA - two free tickets to an art show at Trinity (I'm guessing it's some sort of club?) this Saturday, to whomever wants 'em

Dang! Hope it gets better soon.

It already has started feeling better. I went to my second physical therapy appointment and they finally got it all the way back in place and then i got a massage. I was told go home and sit on my butt all day. It's harder then ya think to just sit around. I'm so bored and I want to do so much stuff. I can't stand sitting around.

Go to Baxter Barn. That's where I just got my chicks and he has the following:
*CHICKS*(All pullets "female")
2/6/13 ($5-$2) $3 Assorted Old English Bantams st run ($8-$2) $6 Barnavelder, Cuckoo Maran, Wellsummer, Speckled Sussex
1/30/13 ($7-$2) $5 Barred Rock, Black Cochin, ($9-$2) $7 Ameraucana, Delaware, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Salmon Faverolle, Silkie and frizzles st run,

If you buy the breeds I bolded, you'll have a wonderful assortment of beautiful birds AND eggs!
Cuckoo Marans - chocolate eggs
Welsummer - dark copper eggs
SS, Barred Rock, GLW - brown eggs of different shades
Ameraucana - green/blue eggs
Salmon Fav - tinted or cream colored eggs

WDYT? One trip, and they're all within a week of age from each other and more than able to be brooded together.

approx how long did you have to swirl? Start to finish? I tried w/mine but I think I did it wrong :)
I swirled it about 20-30 seconds at the most? If yours isn't making honeycombs, yo might have funny honey. BTW- Google "Seattle Times Honey Laundering" for an outstanding explanation of how we're being fooled into buying junk.
