Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

And just tortured the dog some. She was like "why are you putting stuff on me?" The other dog doesn't care. He'll sit for just about anything. I have a wolf in sheep's clothing. She looks all ferocious but she's a big baby.
Aw what a pretty girl! I'd say she looks long-suffering (like our guy) rather than ferocious, but I suppose that's relative.

Hehe, your boy looks very patient sitting there for the picture. Athena hates to sit still for pictures because it means she's to far away from me. I had to lock Zeus in the house to even get her to stay there for a moment.

ETA, that feeder looks awesome that you have. I need something like that.

LOVE delicata squash. We grew them for the first time last summer. Thanks for the link, I think I'll try that method next time, it lloks really good!
You need to try our native WASHINGTON'S FAVORITE squash:

Sweet Meats !!!!!!!!!!!!! It has more sugar than pie pumpkins or any other winter squash !
It grows really well here & stores really well !
Chickens LOVE them also !

Hi All

I'd really like to get your help. I thought I'd found a source for a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana that would lay a blue egg, not green. But...

So now I'm on the search again. I contacted Jean (pip & peeps) and she won't have any at the Monroe show, nor will Royce (tailfeathers).

So, my wish list is 1) Blue egg 2) good layer 3) about 3-4 months old 4) a blue wheaten would be the icing on the cake.

She'll be strictly a layer since I don't breed or show.

PLEEEEZE Rescue Me, I'm soooo frustrated with this search! Thank You!!!!
You want to hatch eggs ?
If so, contact "cpartist"...she has great birds & a website "A garden in Florida" but I lost the link.....

Wow, the roof over the run is finished and tarped over. Now it looks as if I will buy some rolled roofing and really finish it. It will look even better with some white rolled roofing.
It worked out really well. My gals can have sunshine in the run (depending on time of day) from mid morn til late afternoon, but not all at once. Since they free range in the afternoon it works out well. No more sticky, soggy, stinky mud. Whoot!
Last 4 days I have gotten an avg of 6 eggs from my 8 gals. "not too shabby" said he, as the pat on the back continued unabated. (as if he had anything to do with the actual laying of said eggs)

Note to CR. Thanks for the tip on the honey thing. Tried that with Wallyworld brand of honey and guess what? Honeycomb configurations occured.

Sara,
Root them in water? or starter mix? Use rooting hormone?
I'm just planning on a few in water; some outside some inside. But I have all here if needed.

Russ
I have 2 honeysuckles, they have purple-red stems/vines, and turquisey- leaves, and the blooms are a pink-coral color...awesome !
IF I get a spare moment, I will root you some....and post a pic of them.
