EVERYONE COMING TO MONROE on the 16th, please visit THIS THREAD: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/751538/monroe-wa-wff-show-meetup-potluck-join-us

Please reply in the thread with what you can bring.

I would LOVE to meet around 11 to start the food, so people can hang for a couple hours before needing to leave for work and other Saturday afternoon/evening functions.

reposting this once or twice a day until the show. we still need people to bring utensils and drinks.

Australian shepherds have that blue ticking. They have pretty much same markings as a heeler. The male they said is the father was a blue merle Australian shepherd. What are prick ears?

Plus his eyes are that baby blue color. I've only seen those in Australian shepherds. I can't get a good picture of his eyes, the camera turns them red LOL
Along time ago in the dark ages when I was a kid( early 1950's) My Dad got me a Aussie pup this was when they were just starting the breed, we had a Dairy farm near the Umpqua River in OR. She was a great little dog did a bunch of wacky things too, untill we started to associate what she was doing with certain things, funniest one she would run around the front wheel of the tractor biteing it and doing a funny little yip when we had visitors coming up our road, long before we could see them. We just had to learn her language and she had a lot to tell us.
Have lots of fun

YAY got an email saying our bator is on the way. I still need eggs to fill it up tho. I am hoping to meet up with Hallerlake at Monroe to get a dozen brabanter eggs but would love to get a few other breeds in there as well just to give her a variety.

Besure to get the bator started up before you head out to get your eggs (been there did that)

Thanks I never done this before so it will be a learning experience for my daughter and myself. I read you should run it at least a full 24 hrs before you set the eggs. Does that sound about right?

i run my incubator at least 8 hours before putting eggs in there. It's just so i can make the adjustments to make sure it's holding the right temperature and humidity.
