Well whatever he's mixed with, he's a cutie pie for sure. I love a fat puppy belly! Congrats - I hope he grows up to be a great dog for you!

well I started crate training today. Put him in it and he curled up went right to sleep. So yeah he's already a great puppy. I think he feels safe in there with the soft blanky.
i'm not to worried about what he is. If I worried about breed i'd have bought a purebred dog. He's a cute pup, very mellow. when i dropped a dog dish earlier (a metal one) he jumped then recovered quickly. so he'll do great.

Looking for info on the automatic coop doors - anyone have one they like? what brand is best? Do our gray days in Seattle area interfere with its operation?

I have the Foy's auto opener with the solar dealo. It works great. We installed it two years ago and haven't had any issue with it at all. But it's expensive - DH had "Hoo boy" party complaining to me and anyone else who would listen when I ordered it. Since installation though he hasn't griped about it because it's made our lives pretty easy.

I believe there are other less expensive options - the "Pullet Shut" door is still pricey but folks who are clever have been able to purchase components and put some good doors together.

Prick ears are upright ears. GSD would give that as well, and sometimes it happens even with Aussies. I was told I could have taped my Aussie/Heeler, Zeus' ears down as a puppy if I wanted them flopped. His ears are prick, but soft, my GSD has stiffer feeling radar dishes.

He's an adorable puppy. If he's got Aussie in him, he should really want to please, and GSD's can be like velcro on being with their human.

YAY got an email saying our bator is on the way. I still need eggs to fill it up tho. I am hoping to meet up with Hallerlake at Monroe to get a dozen brabanter eggs but would love to get a few other breeds in there as well just to give her a variety.
