Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

LOL, love that smiley. I need that. Was thinking the other day I need to cut a piece of plexiglas about 6"x18" and screw it onto my keyboard. Like the Jim Carey line, "somebody STOP me" LOL

to you too.

CCG. When you do your covering if you take pictures of your methods I'd sure appreciate seeing them.
Some day after I can afford a few key trees cut down where the % is more in my favor for damage only by a flying branch in a severe storm I want to build one of those but of course in my situation much smaller due to land left to place it on. I love trees but they do limit ones ability for where they place structures.

Sitting at Sky Harbor Airport in AZ. My brief respite in the sun is over. I'll be back to our rainy NW in a matter of hours!

I got some great news yesterday. I had purchased a few tickets from the Silkie folks on the American Silkie Bantams facebook group. The tickets were for the drawing to be held at the poultry show in MO this past weekend. The prize was the Silkie book by Sigrid Nan Dort, priced at $100. Out of 150 tickets, mine was drawn and that beautiful book is on it's way to me!

Have a good flight. We'll see you in the wet zone soon. CONGRATS on winning such a neat prize!

For those that hike these two links are my favorites...................

Itsren. If you take your cubs hiking these links might help you find one that fits their age, abilities, close enough by etc.
Some of my favorite memories as a kid was going hiking, camping, fishing in a church group that was a lot like Cub scouts.
Long story but times were tough for my family and this was a way I was able to go do things that as a family we couldn't afford.
I still remember some of the adults back then who taught me how to fish, read maps, cook food outdoors, it meant a lot to me.
I learned a lot and to this day have great memories to share with others in regards to those trips.
You may never know it and feel defeated some times but you are impacting lives in cub scouts.

This link is two brothers who hike together and one of them decided to start writing about it with pictures and it is loaded with all the info you need from maps to what to expect.
I think that is so cool two brothers spending time together.

This one is full of info that helps you plan your trip with updates from members on current trail conditions that is real handy when it comes to snow line and trees over trails, etc.
