@LFM -

Ya.. I want a gate too. For now, I'll rig something up using wire and PVC pipe so that we can close off the area between the two benches. I am now working on the garden fence. Again using saplings from the creek as posts and top rails.

Oh .. LFM - I'll tell you this for sure -- using the willow is way easier than using dimensional lumber. With 2x4's (or whatever) it is easy for the eye to notice the mistakes. With this type of construction - it is expected that it is not 'square'. I'd rather build like this than with dimensional lumber any day.

One thing I will say is -- the proper way to do this would have been to cut the saplings this year and allow them to dry before assembly. I've put lag bolts into green wood. I would not be surprised it if all fell apart in two years.

Good morning, Paul =) We met at the show, Honeysuckle Hills and I got some feed from you (which our girls love!) I'm the redhead that had the soaps for sale.

The processing class will be fun, we've done it a few times now with unwanted cockerels, but it is always good to learn new & better ways. And I'm interested to try a meat bird!

(And if there are some of you that are wondering to do it or not, it's not that bad.)

Hi everyone. My husband and I are new to Washingtom and have been here with our chickens for about 3 months. And we have a huge problem.

We live and Yelm and everything has been going fine, but today our homeowner said we can't keep our chickens in the neighborhood we love in. I was wondering if anyone would be willing or able to keep our chickens for us? We will provide everything for them.

I don't like the idea of giving up our babies since we have had most of them for year.

So quick question, I have never figured out, is that "infrared" red or just a red colored bulb? or what?

Quote: HOLY HAWK! That would be crazy!

Love this! Very nice! I hope it doesn't fall apart in a couple years like you said, that is a piece of art!

I wanted to put 'formerly dawng' in my title - but cannot find where to do that. Do any of the golden feather members know? TIA!
