I put down Elphaba. I am so glad I did too, her entire cavity was filled with a clear yellow liquid(not normal). And she had no eggs developing in her ovum cluster at just over 6mo. At least she is not in pain anymore. I just wish now that I would have done it a few days ago.

Poor baby. You did the right thing. I look up to all of you who do this. I haven't needed to cull any yet, but I sure hope I have the strenght to do that when needed. I just have no idea of the best way to cull a sick/injured chicken.

I actually do Fermented Feed from the meat chickens thread. But wet feed is better than dry. I just add water and stir until I get an oatmeal consistancy. I currently feed between 6-8 cups daily for all 20 adult and chicks.

Oh No. So pretty. I think we need a start exchange. I also wish I could get my hands on some of that curly willow and weeping willow.

LF, do you know how to make starts of clems?
